Fissebourne Volumes 1–4

Fissebourne

Self initiated brief, working alongside a writer and historian to produce a detailed journal documenting the village of Fishburn in County Durham. This A5 publication was produced with 500 copies and distributed nationally.

The project was set to examine this lesser well known village. Page layout was set in black and white, using red highlights, taken from research into the village history. Typeset in Lausanne, the book looks to create a more formal connection between contemporary design and the tradition past.

Take Note

A self-initiated project in collaboration with Ewan Waddell and Ben Cooper

The exhibition examines the process of three creatives at the top of their respected fields. Collaborating their sketchbooks, workings out, unfinished designs and more, we translated elements of their work in the form of unique streetwear garments.

To present the project we developed a full identity and further assets which in turn allowed us to work on a truly unique brief. To exhibit our creations we ran a launch night event at Birmingham streetwear concept store Bene Culture as well as live streaming the event online. All of the garments and other elements were sold through our bespoke website - takenote.live
